Do you know the highest peak in Nigeria? It is Chappal Waddi or Gangirwal, located in Nigeria’s largest National Park, Gashaka Gumti National Park, Taraba state. Gangirwal mountain which translates as ”the mountain of death” is 7,963 ft (2,419 m) above sea level. Even though it is lower than Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro, it is a natural wonder and Nigeria’s treasure so Funmi Oyatogun, geographer and founder of TVP Adventures alongside some of her friends decided to explore Chappal Waddi, Nigeria’s highest point. Adedotun Ajibade went along, capturing stunning images.
